Caping large game is the process of removing the skin off of the head. This is best left to the taxidermist. Small Mammals : Do not gut the animal. Keep it cool until you can get it to the freezer. Place in plastic bag & freeze. Mammals can not lie around any length of time. They must be cooled & frozen. If you are in an area & can not freeze, call for proper skinning instructions.
